BUILDSHIFT

Because robots need real people.

Our Story

We run a beverage canning facility in Petaluma and accidentally built an automation lab inside it.

We’ve been recruiting software developers as “Automation Engineer Interns,” paying them minimum wage to work the factory floor while they design and deploy automation that pays for itself in under 6 months.

It’s been wild — and surprisingly effective.

What We’re Building Now

The BS Proposal

After meeting you and having you show us around your business, if we can see opportunities for real and immediate savings, we will offer a custom automated device that will demonstrably generate enough savings to pay for itself in 6-months. Guaranteed.

We’re helping a generation of tech workers who did everything right—but still got the axe—find a second act building America’s advanced manufacturing backbone.
